A God-sized Dream
The road to NFR
While not only owning H&H, teaching lessons and training horses, Miranda is pursuing God’s call on her life to race professionally. Alongside her incredibly talented horses she will be racing locally, in neighboring states and someday soon nationwide with the goal of competing in the NFR. While this is never something she expected to be doing with her life, it is a God sized dream she is so grateful to walk in every day. All your support is appreciated as we help her chase this dream!! All glory to Him!
The Horses:
Thunder
Thunder is a 2020 Thoroughbred, standing at 16.1hh with the personality to match. To most, he is the fiery grey who loves to run and always has a grumpy look on his face, but to the few who get to know him, Thunder has the biggest heart. While he certainly proves that thoroughbreds are more than capable of being highly competitive barrel horses, he will struggle on the smaller NFR size patterns. He is certainly never going anywhere, but will eventually retire to life as “Miranda’s heart horse” and her all-around “just for fun” mount.
Red
The 15.2hh, AQHA red roan, grandsired by First Down Dash: Red is a powerhouse with an even cooler comeback story. After a coffin bone fracture from a trail accident in 2023 he was given years to heal at his own pace with hopes to live a good life if nothing else. Currently he is vet predicted to one day be back and better than ever before. We cannot wait to see the amazing things this horse can do.
Storm
Miranda’s newest addition, a 2022 model quarter horse. AQHA with excellent pedigree, he stands at 15.3hh with potentially the title of Miranda’s favorite personality in the bunch. Storm is eager to please and loving with quiet confidence. As with Thunder and Red, he will be started on the pattern by Miranda but comes with rope horse experience to be Miranda’s breakaway debut as well if she decides to venture into that too!
